- I’ve turned to the classic editor
- I’m now using a heartbeat control plugin
- I updated the PHP to 8.1
- I trimmed the unnecessary plug-ins but either deleting them or turn them off
- And I simplified the Administration panel which is a huge resource hog
Overall, I think the results are an improvement, but it still feels slower than before. Well, I guess WordPress will never get smaller in terms of its installation and resource requirements!
