Various news reports suggest that someone is actually about to mint bitcoins. I’d be surprised if that happens… it will lend legitimacy for these coins, generated by computing power… but these military challenge coins would attract those with a real interest in coins.
Perhaps they’d even be more valuable in the long run. I’m still not convinced by bitcoins: ethereal & with poor provenance. Stick with the real thing.
