Cold necks in winter, extra insulation, too

So this is my hack for enduring winter with less weight. Many shoppers enjoy wearing this in the summer: it’s light, it’s comfortable in the heat, and fairly modest but attractive for girls.

But actually, the netting is a pretty effective warm air trap under a top shirt or sweater or blouse. Just wear it with long sleeves, and you’re good for a colder winter day! I wore it under a T-shirt and sweater and was too hot. I took it off and wore it under my sweater, and it was just fine. The T-shirt definitely would’ve been too little.

I’ll be trialling it mid-winter but the air-holes theory should be good esp. when you use a sandwich technique with this as the intermediate layer.

The high neck is also effective at warming the neck. At least that’s been my experience. I can’t really wear it in the summer. Under makes no sense as it’s too hot, and over? Over what? I don’t wear a bra and I can’t find a light enough shirt that it makes sense. It doesn’t work for summer for me!

I’d better shut up or everyone will be wanting one! These are not just summer wear!
