I have been having a lot of trouble with the school server recently, especially when it’s functioning poorly. I am still not sure what’s wrong, but I think the caching isn’t working in WordPress.
So I’ve boosted the resources, and blocked a lot of ip addresses from China amongst others to slow down access: Sogou, Soso, Baidu all consume a huge amount of bandwidth and content, and it hardly seems worth it given the actual amount of traffic they send me:

I had to do a nasty trick though: I redirected the traffic back to their own IP address. Is that bad? Well, I’ll see how long it lasts.
