There are lots of products on the market for paternity testing these days, for obvious reasons. But this writer is wondering: if there are surrogate mothers where the egg and sperm are from donors, whether maternity testing will ever be required as well!
Surely the surrogate mother and the donor mother would be identifiably different in terms of DNA testing. Of course, where genetic material is mixed to solve genetically transferred disease, this would require quite an analysis.
