What do you do when you move into a Fire Island beach house and find 20 years of rare DJ sets on tape? You contact the DJs & set up an archive on Mixcloud.

Pine Walk Collection is an incredible archive of DJ sets from 1979-1999 which captures the evolving party scene on Fire Island – from disco, through to the birth of house – at a crucial juncture in LGBTQ+ history, as a generation of activists tackled the emerging AIDS crisis.

Discovered by Peter Kriss and Nate Pinsley, and digitized on Mixcloud by Joe D’Espinosa, the Pine Walk Collection stands as an archive to an important period in dance music history.

Included on the channel are live recordings from the annual ‘GMHC Morning Parties’ which raised funds for the pioneering AIDS activism organization, as well as sets at iconic NYC nightclubs The Saint and Ice Palace.

Check out the channel for mixes from the likes of Robbie Leslie, Michael Jorba, Richie Bernier, Michael Fierman, Roy Thode and more.
