I was watching the Youtube videos about luggage handlers at Heathrow airport. They were throwing around bags and stuff loaded off airplanes, … it got me thinking that theirs really is a dangerous job.
I wonder if the baggage handlers really have any disability insurance at all? What happens if they pick up a case and they drop it on their own foot? Are they provided with medical care? Do they have to pay for it themselves or are they covered…?
There are so many dangerous dirty jobs in society that need to be done, but are the people we employ taken care of properly when things go wrong… Often not, I fear.
