The tablet market has become red hot. The netbook phenomenon really started the whole craze when companies finally realized they could make portable computing practical, fun and affordable. ASUS started with its 700-series netbook.

Then a few other companies jumped in, and netbooks became ‘hot’. Finally, Apple launched its market changing device, the Ipad. Which has been a hot seller.

Now I have to say I like using it, but there are a number of drawbacks to it versus the netbook. No keyboard for fast typing, no Adobe Flash, and no real OS. So many things are limited. Seriously.

But it seems that now every company wants to launch a pad of some sort. Even Blackberry launched its blackberry playbook belatedly.

Rumours now are that Apple is about to up the ante with Ipad 2 HD launched in 2012. Stay tuned.
