It’s rare that a fashion designer who is 28 years old can garner as much attention as Jason Wu did in 2008 when he designed the gown that Michelle Obama wore to the inauguration ball! What an accolade for a Taiwanese designer! (picture linked to story).
When asked what fabrics he liked for his Target collection, I wonder what he might say: " The best contemporary fabric that l like to work with is cotton blended in pastel colors. The permanent press type is beautiful with easy to wash instructions, no ironing required and often made of stain resistant material. These fabrics can have a consistency that makes them easy to cut, stitch and generally handle. They are also light weight and hold their shape well. It is delightful, fun and easy to work with new fabrics that are enhanced by technology…"
