I was watching a Japanese program on TV translated into English, of course, about success and failure in diet. It introduced a concept I hadn’t heard of before ‘visceral fat’ or adipose tissue. This fat if you are overweight can secrete harmful hormones that enhance your poor health by making it worse.
I’m still not sure what this means but in terms of health, it’s going to need a lot more than just best weight loss pill to get to a reasonable weight. Of course, I’ll say now: I was hopeful after watching that TV show. Part of the program was devoted to how individuals actually tackled their weight loss and some of the individuals actually tweaked their lifestyles in minor ways to achieve good weight loss.
That’s the kind of program that appeals to me: I just wonder if it could work for me. I do know my pitfalls – lack of exercise, too many carbs, eating too late, and too much junk food. The only problem with a slow change is that it takes time to really feel any benefits, and I’m still only tackling the first stage – getting more exercise.
Reason dictates: weight loss can’t just be about taking the right pill. Otherwise when you stop, the weight all goes back on.
