I got started by accident blogging a few years when I discovered that my host was offering WordPress. I then started InvestorBlogger as a way to express myself. I had particularly wanted to focus on exploring the connection between investing, blogging and life. I guess I have somewhat achieved this.
I discovered “a certain paid blogging company” about three months ago, when I was browsing around Bloggers’ Networks. I think it was AdsenseChat.com. So I decided to try it out. Actually, I placed about 19 posts in the network to see how things would go. At first, I just looked at things that were interesting, but now I’m getting more choosy.
“I found some great biz magazine deals!” was the first posting, I think. I have enjoyed writing the posts, and more importantly, it has encouraged me to start writing more regularly than ever. I know that the payment issues are causing some bloggers problems, but for me it was quite encouraging to write to get a mini-payment. I also found it encouraging because it helped me to focus on the content more of my blog.
There are a lot of things that I am interested in, but my blog rambles. So with a little more time and effort, I think I can really help this blog to grow and become something of value. The payments range from about $4 to $12 per posting. This doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up over a month. I have currently earned about $100, plus sold some of my own clients on hosting recently. This enabled me to pay my hosting bill for about 2 years, +/- a few domain registrations. I was quite pleased because my income from the website has now increased as a result of “a certain paid blogging company” to the extent that it can cover a lot of my actual ‘costs’ of running the website. As a result it helps finance a number of websites: http://www.tesolteachers.org for TESOLTeachers; http://www.pjtyle.org for Young Learners; http://www.kuixing.panopticonasia.com for Asian American Literature; plus these ones at http://www.investorblogger.com.
So I would like to say a big thank you to Payperpost.com for helping me to do this! And a big thank you for my sponsors who help to pay the costs! As well as a big thank to Dreamhost! Thank you, all!
