Last time I was in the UK, I took my mobile phone with me, and managed to rack up nearly NT$4000 worth of calling bills. Man! I was being charged for everything, calls, messages, SMS, receiving calls, EVERYTHING!
That’s when I began to wonder if having one of thoseNokia unlocked phones would help. In fact, I checked prices of calling plans in the UK, you know the over the counter type. It would have made a lot more sense than international calling.
Of course, WiFi calls are even cheaper, courtesy of Skype. But they aren’t always practical. Many hotels still see color TV as a modern luxury!
